Reading Genesis and just realized that God cares A LOT about family lines, who was whose son, ancestors, etc. cos back then, that was pretty much their CV or something.

I’m comparing it with today’s families. Some families still do that; like, they know who their great-great-great-great-great-grandparents were and their lineage and family history and all, but a lot of families only know up to their grandparents. Has the value/importance/reverence/respect for ancestors decreased so drastically?

Another thing is, I wanna know my biological paternal grandparents, because my dad was adopted. Huge chance they’re not even alive anymore, but I really wish I could shake their hands and smile at them.

And possibly an explanation, a reason, a story, to why they gave him up. Did grandpa leave grandma? Who was there with grandma when she gave birth? When was my dad really born, even? And where?

Dear grandparents I have never met, you gave up a baby boy who got lucky. He was adopted by a decent couple. He had a pretty good childhood. He loved his mom. He made mistakes and learned from them. He married a loud, pretty, brazen, witty girl.

I saw a picture of him smiling at the camera. It was his birthday. He looked about maybe four or five, though I’m not sure, because the picture was undated.
He looked like a happy, loved kid. He looked like a kid everyone would love to hug and play with.

Time and trials have turned him into a good man. He’s not perfect, but he’s all right. He’s my dad. He’s a wonderful man.

I don’t know why you gave him up, and I’m trying not to judge, but I would like… love to know why. It’s hard not to imagine or make up scenarios, and I kind of feel bad about that.

Anyway, if you guys could meet him, I… don’t know. It’s not like I want you guys to claim him and be all “my son, my son!” because the truth is… we’re all strangers. You don’t know him or me more than you know the guy who lives in an obscure town somewhere. But I just… wanna know.

I don’t know what to expect.

There is a lot of theory and concepts place into the above image. I’m proud of it because its not just so-n-so cartoon with zombies. The concept was a play on the fact that a couple of decades ago people would fantasize about a very bright and chrome future, with flying cars and robot servants. And this is how and why the Jetson’s were born.A family living in the space age. Technically we’re living in their time now, as we all know the future isn’t as advance as we would hope. Which leads me into my point, if you look at all the future movies, instead of this 1960’s bright future we see a lot of fantasy futures being post apocalyptic filled with killer robots and zombies. Death and grim, is what the future looks.I guess in a way this is my commentary on society and our ever growing grim outlook on life. Maybe we are growing more self aware of our self destructive nature? Any ways the idea remains the same, putting yesterday’s family of the future in the new tomorrow.Take a look at the Jetsons. I did research for their outfits, because I didn’t want them to be in future garb. You may notice that their outfits are all based off different outfits from different movies. George is dressed like the sheriff from The Walking Dead. Judy is Wichita from Zombieland. Jane is the girlfriend from Shaun of the Dead. And Elroy is some kid from 28 weeks later.
